Mission Statement:

We are Jewish military veterans living in the St. Louis metropolitan area who work together for the following purposes:

  • To preserve the memories and records of the patriotic military service performed by local men and women of our faith.
  • Maintain a database of Jewish military veterans buried in St. Louis Jewish cemeteries.
  • Support military veterans in Jefferson Barracks Hospital and Missouri Veterans home.
  • Maintain the St. Louis Jewish War Veteran Museum.

THE RITCHIE BOYS

Jon Wertheim tells the little-known story of the Jews who escaped the Nazis during World War II and returned to fight Hitler as part of a secret American military intelligence group trained in espionage and psychological warfare. After the war ended, many of the Ritchie Boys continued to work in the field of intelligence and played a significant role in setting up what eventually became the CIA.
